The culture of the healthcare industry is a unique environment with its own characteristics, norms, ethics, and purpose. One surprising byproduct of that culture is that healthcare workers who suffer incidents of workplace violence (a vast majority of which are committed by a patient) fail to report a significant number of them.

A gunman entered this FedEx facility and killed 8 people, injuring several more, before turning the gun on himself when police arrived. Detectives have yet to release his name or other pertinent information, though news outlets have reported that his wife worked at the facility.
